POV in the Press: Eagles, Firstrust Bank team on Kelly green debit card

Eagles, Firstrust Bank team on Kelly green debit card

Multiple iterations of the Eagles' top-selling Kelly green throwback jerseys and the accompanying retro logo have, since August, appeared on everything from team-licensed bourbon and vodka to packaging, premiums, and corporate swag, even out-of-home outdoor advertising. 

As of today (Tuesday) there’s also a Kelly green debit card. Firstrust Bank, whose category-exclusive “official bank” sponsorship includes a large sign atop Lincoln Financial Field, entitlement to a club area and a terrace section, is offering a Visa debit card with Eagles merch discounts and rewards attached. Firstrust has been a team sponsor since 2020 and previously used Eagles I.P. to market business and personal checking accounts, mortgages, and CDs. 

The many sponsor activations of Kelly green have generally been in the market well before the team actually dons the new/old togs for a game; that’s scheduled for the Oct. 22 "Sunday Night Football" game against the Dolphins in Philadelphia.

There’s another green angle to the hookup: Firstrust Exec Chairman Richard Green has been a minority owner of the team for nearly 30 years. Molly Arbogast’s POV Sports Marketing, Wayne, Pa., has been Firstrust’s AOR since 2016.
